It's Time for Last-Minute Mother's Day Planning

May 12 is quickly approaching. But you still have time to put the finishing touches on your Mother’s Day celebrations!

Are you looking for that one thing that will make Mother’s Day really special for the moms in your church? CTA can help! In the Resource & Idea Center you’ll find dozens of downloads that will give your celebration an instant boost. Check out these options:

  • Are you gathering church members together for a Mother’s Day luncheon or picnic? Add some fun to your event with icebreakers and games! CTA’s Whispers of God’s Love downloadable retreat outline provides four ideas that you can easily adapt for your group and setting.
  • If your church has multimedia capabilities, create a PowerPoint presentation with pictures of the mothers and children in your congregation. You could also take time this Sunday to ask your church’s kids what they value most about their moms, their Sunday school teachers, or other women that have made an impact in their lives. Then, put those words together in a PowerPoint presentation. CTA offers PowerPoint slides and beautiful graphics from more than 10 Mother’s Day themes.
  • Mothers would love a Saturday morning Bible study with their fellow moms. Get your youth group to provide babysitting for just a few hours and send your women’s leader a link to CTA’s Abundant Grace downloadable retreat outline. Any of the three sessions in this retreat can be used for an hour-long Bible study.
  • Do you need a welcome devotion for your Mother’s Day celebration? CTA offers several Mother’s Day-specific Ministry Messages. All of these devotions are sure make the moms in your ministry feel honored, celebrated, and encouraged by the Word of God!

We pray that God would bless your ministry’s Mother’s Day celebrations and continue to guide the ongoing contributions that women in your church make to their families, churches, and communities!
