NOW HIRING    Customer Service Representative (Seasonal) 

Are you passionate about helping people and creating positive customer experiences? As a Seasonal Customer Service Representative, you'll serve as a trusted resource for our customers, providing friendly, knowledgeable support by phone and other communication channels. You'll assist with order placement, payment processing, account updates, and light sales inquiries while ensuring every interaction reflects the values and service commitment of King + Cross Companies.

This position may offer a work-from-home option and operates during standard business hours, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Support: Deliver exceptional customer service through phone, email, and other communication channels; Assist customers with questions, product information, and order-related requests; Maintain a friendly, professional, and customer-focused approach in every interaction.

Order Processing: Enter customer orders accurately and efficiently from phone, mail, fax, and online channels; Process payments, order updates, cancellations, and adjustments; Support light sales activities by helping customers find products that meet their needs.

Team & Operational Support: Effectively manage responsibilities in both office and remote work environments; Maintain availability during regular business hours; Contribute to a collaborative team environment while achieving individual performance goals.

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; Minimum of three months of customer service, administrative, or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Customer service experience required; Call center experience preferred; Keyboarding proficiency of at least 25 words per minute; Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Comfortable navigating web-based applications and online tools; Commitment to supporting the mission, vision, and values of King + Cross Companies.

Schedule & Availability

Must be available to work a minimum of 12-15 hours per week; Ability to work both morning and afternoon shifts as needed; Flexible scheduling available based on business needs; Standard operating hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. CT.

Employment Type: Seasonal employment is based on business needs and available hours rather than a specific season. While employees may work part-time or full-time schedules throughout the year, employment status remains seasonal.

Hours: Up to 40 hours per week during peak seasons  Pay: $15.00 per hour  Benefits: Opportunity to accrue Paid Time Off (PTO)

NOW HIRING    Seasonal Fulfillment Associate

Join our team as a Seasonal Fulfillment Associate and help deliver an exceptional customer experience. In this hands-on role, you'll accurately pick, pack, assemble, and ship orders while supporting efficient warehouse operations. You'll play an important part in maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring product quality, and keeping orders moving smoothly from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

Order Fulfillment & Shipping: Accurately pick, pack, scan, and prepare customer orders for shipment; Assemble and stack boxes to support daily fulfillment needs; Add void fill, seal cartons, and stage shipments on pallets or trucks as directed; Assemble custom school planners according to customer specifications and deadlines; Complete in-house assembly projects as assigned; Maintain inventory accuracy and organization; Assist with processing returned orders and documenting defective products; Perform product quality checks as needed; Work efficiently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Warehouse Operations: Safely operate hand trucks and pallet jacks as needed; Help protect company products, equipment, and property; Participate in annual, semi-annual, and cycle-count inventory activities; Provide support and cross-training backup for other warehouse team members; Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as needed.

Teamwork & Professionalism: Demonstrate professionalism and respect when interacting with coworkers and customers; Contribute positively to a collaborative team environment; Be available for extended hours and occasional Saturdays during peak seasons.

Skills & Abilities: Communication: Read and understand basic instructions, manuals, correspondence, and procedures; Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing; Listen actively, ask questions, and respond effectively to feedback; Math Skills: Perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; Problem Solving & Adaptability: Troubleshoot issues and identify practical solutions; Handle changing priorities, delays, and unexpected situations with a positive attitude; Respond constructively to coaching and direction.

Physical Requirements:  This position requires standing, walking, sitting, reaching, lifting, and using hands and fingers throughout the workday. Employees must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and safely perform warehouse-related tasks.
