1990
A Dream and a Difficult Start
In the fall of 1990, Steve and Diane Darr started Christian Teacher's Aid (CTA) with a dream to encourage those serving the Lord. The first year brought financial hardship, but they kept praying and trusting God through the uncertainty.
1992
One Last Attempt
In the spring of 1992, the Darrs tried one more thing. They sent a small test mailing featuring their best-selling item, a simple apple lapel pin for teachers in Christian schools. The response was God's answer to their prayers.
2004
A Wider Calling
As CTA's reach grew, the Darrs sensed God leading them in a broader direction, so they renamed the company Christian Tools of Affirmation.
2009
Passing the Torch
The Darrs were ready for their next season of life. Through prayer and God's leading, they sold the company to its employees, and CTA became employee owned (an ESOP). Terry Knoploh stepped into leadership.
2019
A New Name and An Unexpected Gift
CTA became Christ to All, a name that says what has always been at the heart of the company. Whether serving the Church, a school, a family, or one person searching for hope, the mission is to point them to Jesus.
The same year, the founder of God's Word in Time, a Scripture-based student planner reached out with an opportunity to purchase her business. She believed CTA was meant to be the next steward.
2020
Provision in the Unknown
In March of 2020, church doors closed and the future was uncertain. It was a hard season financially, but God had already provided. No one knew it in 2019, but God's Word in Time would carry CTA through the pandemic.
2023
Here we are, Lord
After several lean years, God continued to provide through God's Word in Time, CTA's student planner business. To bring more stability as the company recovered, Terry and Renee Knoploh purchased CTA from the employees. God asked and they gave their yes!
2026
What's Next
More than 35 years after that first apple pin, we are still amazed by God's faithfulness. Today, we create gifts, books, planners, and resources for all ages that point people to the hope of Jesus. Nothing is more important to us than the people who work alongside us each day and the people we get to serve. We cannot wait to see what God does next.
