This is an excellent book for children and their families!
I was looking for simple, inexpensive, Biblical, Christ-centered ideas to help the parents and kids who participate in our children's church ministry celebrate the true meaning of Christmas. This book is just perfect, and meets all our needs. We are a small congregation, so the cost of the books was budget friendly. The book is just wonderful! The true meaning of Christmas is explained simply using things that are commonly used to decorate our homes and churches during the Christmas season (trees, lights, etc.). Scripture references are included for each item. This means our families don't have to purchase anything to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas since they can use things they most likely already have at home. On Sunday, December 1, 2024, we plan to use the book to teach the true meaning of Christmas as we decorate a tree during children's church. Afterwards, each child will be given a book in a take home packet that will include a letter to parents on how to use the book for family devotionals. I have no doubt that the kids will enjoy learning about Christ and the true meaning of Christmas using this little gem of a book, and will eagerly want to share what they've learned with their parents as they decorate their trees at home. Even if their families have already put up their trees over Thanksgiving, they can still enjoy their tree and use the book as a devotional up until Christmas Day.
