3' Heirloom Quality Build-Your-Own Christmas Tree Decoration with 34 Ornaments

I took an iron to the base tree because the fold marks from packaging were tough to flatten at first. Then I stitched the characters on instead of using the double-sided velcro dots. I wanted to use it outside and didn’t want the characters falling off. All my neighbors are asking me where to get theirs… such a fun re-imagining for this almost empty nest couple with no grandchildren… yet!

In 2022, I was looking for an activity for our Children's Church kids that would be different. I found the Felt Christmas Tree in the CTA catalog. Everything you need is in the kit. There is a great variety of felt ornaments and lots of Velcro dots. The children enjoyed it so much that first Sunday, I decided to make it a part of each Sunday in December. I let the children decorate the tree and then photograph the participants and the finished tree. After Children's Church is over, I carefully remove the ornaments for the next Sunday. The next Sunday, as we walked to our Children's Church room for class, the children asked, "Are we going to decorate "Our Tree" today?" I knew the activity was a hit. We have used this tree each year since then. The children enjoy the activity. They even tell the Christmas Story as they are putting up the various decorations on the tree.

We use the tree in kids church each Sunday in advent to tell the Bible story of Jesus birth.

We ordered these trees for the preschool small group classrooms, and they were even cuter in person! Great quality and a very good value - and they are going to be a huge hit with our littles, I'm sure!
