Owner Response: We are sorry this was confusing! Please be assured that you did not waste your money! To activate the batteries, remove the light by unscrewing the tip and removing the plastic disc on top of the batteries. Replace the tip and turn to activate the light. The disc is added to help preserve the life of the battery until it's ready to be used by you!
