Thursday, May 7, is the National Day of Prayer. With that in mind, please pray with us all throughout the month of May for spiritual renewal and revival in our country, churches, families, and each individual heart. Ask God to move in us, through us, and among us to strengthen our faith, widen our witness, and draw each of us closer to him.
May 1 Pray that God will give us pure hearts so that we can see and know him better. (Read Matthew 5:8)
May 2 Pray that the Holy Spirit will give us a greater hunger and thirst for the things of God.
May 3 Pray that God will help us to keep our thoughts focused and centered on Jesus. (Read Hebrews 3:1-3)
May 4 Pray that God will make each one of us more like Jesus.
May 5 Pray that God will help us know how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ and to be able and willing to share it with others. (Read Ephesians 3:18)
May 6 Pray that God will give us a deeper desire to continually ask, seek, and knock. (Read Matthew 7:7-8)
May 7 Pray that the Holy Spirit will give us repentant hearts.
May 8 Pray that God will heighten our understanding of and joy in his gift of Salvation.
May 9 Pray that God will renew our hearts and minds through his Word.
May 10 Pray that the Holy Spirit will help us to read God’s Word with fresh eyes and new understanding.
May 11 Pray that God will ignite in us the desire to know, understand, and follow his will.
May 12 Pray that God will enable us to love him more deeply, follow him more closely, and share him more widely.
May 13 Pray that God will open our eyes to see where he is working and to empower us to work with him.
May 14 Pray that God will help us to be faithful to do the work that he has prepared for us to do. (Read Ephesians 2:10)
May 15 Pray that God will help us to recognize our sins, give us strength to turn from those sins and enable us to follow him.
May 16 Pray that the work we do for God will bring glory to his name.
May 17 Pray that God will give us boldness in sharing our faith.
May 18 Pray that our lives of faith will point to and attract more people to Jesus.
May 19 Pray that the Holy Spirit will create faith in the hearts of young people and those who do not yet know Jesus.
May 20 Pray for God to raise up young men and women to be pastors and teachers of his Word.
May 21 Pray that God will raise up more prayer warriors.
May 22 Pray that God will help us to pray more boldly and to be encouraged in prayer by seeing how he is working.
May 23 Pray that all people will know God’s love for them in a clearer way because of how we treat them.
May 24 Pray that God’s Word will fall on hearts that are prepared and ready to come to him.
May 25 Pray for God to send out workers into the harvest fields. (Read Matthew 9:38)
May 26 Pray that more people will be moved to seek God’s will instead of trying to live on their own.
May 27 Pray that God’s Word will spark joy in the hearts of all who hear it.
May 28 Pray for God to strengthen the faith of those who follow him.
May 29 Pray that God’s people will be able to stand strong against the attacks of the enemy.
May 30 Pray that God will help all people to see their need for Jesus.
May 31 Pray that God will help all people to understand that Jesus is the only Source that truly fills and meets our needs.
