By CTA--Christ to All
While many might think that making disciples is adult work only, God works through children to expand his Kingdom. Explore this amazing opportunity with the children in your ministry by including these thoughts in your next conversation with them:
We have an immeasurable blessing. Just think!
“Our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God” (Romans 5:11 NLT).
To say, “I’m a friend of that sports hero/famous musician/powerful politician” would be sheer arrogance—unless it were true, that is! Then it would be a reason for celebration and joy. We would be part of a special circle of friends.
Through the cross, Jesus has made us friends of God. We get to invite other people to join this circle, so they can live as God’s forever friends in Christ, too!
Pray with the children in your care about people they can invite to know Jesus and how to do that. Tell them not to be discouraged if the answer is “no” at first. Just keep praying and inviting. God will work through your words!
