When parents are expecting a new child, they can’t help but share the joy. We see announcements on social media, receive emails and phone calls, and might even be invited to a gender-reveal party. It’s exciting to anticipate a new birth!
God, our heavenly Father, wants us to be excited about the birth of his Son, too. The prophecy from Isaiah, today’s Bible verse, is a birth announcement sent almost 700 years in advance! That’s one excited Father.
