God’s grace is all around us—every day! But, in the busyness of life, women often lose sight of that grace. In its place guilt, shame, and disappointment creep into the hearts of women.
A craft party is a fun and easy way to guide these women back to God’s abundant grace! And CTA is here to help! Check out CTA’s Abundant Grace retreat planning guide. In it, you’ll find three Bible study sessions. Plus, you’ll find all the planning details you need! If you’d like to plan a craft night, simply pick one of the Bible studies and follow it with the craft ideas from the planning guide.
The Abundant Grace craft ideas encourage women to create a way to record and remember the abundant grace that God pours into our lives every day—a wonderful gift we have because of our Savior, Jesus! Some potential craft projects are:
As they create their project, the women can incorporate a verse or other special words that will remind them of God’s grace. Or, once they return home, they may choose to write a different piece of text on their chalkboard, in their notebook, or as part of another creation, every day. Participants could use their favorite Bible verses instead or, perhaps, even lyrics from a favorite Christian song or hymn. Women may find these verses particularly comforting:
For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace (John 1:16 ESV).
Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me (2 Corinthians 12:8–9 ESV).
I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I hope (Psalm 130:5 ESV).
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8 ESV).
