Glow-in-the-dark giveaways are perfect for Fall

The symbolism of light versus dark is quite evident in Scripture. Jesus is the “light of the world” (John 8:12 ESV), the One who came to defeat the darkness of sin. While some biblical topics can be difficult for kids to grasp, this isn’t one of them. It’s kid-friendly and easy to teach. Christian children, and even little ones who don’t know Jesus, are amazed by the contrast between light and dark - think about fireflies, nightlights, or Christmas lights.

Things that glow in the dark provide another exciting way to teach children about Jesus and the light he brings to our lives. If you’re planning a Fall Festival or Halloween Alternative event, you could plan the entire celebration with a glow-in-the-dark theme. Consider a “Let’s Glow,” “Get Your Glow On,” or “Lights Out!” party.

CTA has offered Fall Festival glow-in-the-dark goodies for several years now and they’re always a hit with children’s ministry leaders! CTA customer Loree used a light-versus-dark theme for her ministry’s Fall Festival and for a Sunday school lesson on the following Sunday.

“The glow-in-the-dark necklaces from CTA are an excellent product for the price,” said Loree. “Kids were still wearing them a week after the event! I highly recommend them!”

Many CTA customers use the glow-in-the-dark items as prizes at their Fall Festival events. The God Lights Our Way (G.L.O.W.) pens fit easily into goodie bags and they’re fun for both kids and adults.

CTA customer Laura handed out the pens after her church’s Halloween mass and said, “We love the glow-in-the-dark pens. They not only have a great message, but are a nice quality too!

Sometimes, a glow-in-the-dark gift makes a difference even months after the event. CTA customer Helen gave glow-in-the-dark crosses to the children at her church. “When I hand out the crosses, the children light up, too,” she said. “Their expression says it all! One little boy said that because of the cross, he isn’t afraid of the dark anymore.”

This year, CTA is offering even more glow-in-the-dark giveaways. Look for the Shine Bright, Little Light LED finger light and the God Lights Our Way (G.L.O.W.) snap-&-glow necklaces. Don’t forget - CTA provides dozens of FREE resources to accompany your glow-in-the-dark giveaways. Find them all at!
